I discovered watercolor after dedicating most of my life to mathematics as both a researcher and a teacher. It all began when a corn circle in the shape of an owl drew my attention and captivated me to the point where I felt compelled to replicate those simple and powerful shapes and rework them with minor variations, which eventually led to the creation of Owl, the main character of the children's books I have written, illustrated, and self-published.
With this approach, I was inspired by many symbols and proportions associated with sacred geometry, attempting to bring out their harmony via the transparencies that only watercolor can offer.
I immediately felt a connection to watercolor, but it took years for me to trust the medium! Over time, the simple geometric lines of the images in the first books got more sophisticated, and I began to explore new realms that straddled art and geometry.
During this artistic journey I began to hold watercolor courses thanks to which I ranged from botanical drawing to landscapes, from urban sketching to portraits.
